Join us for Keep Gardena Beautiful 2012. We’re going to share the love of Jesus Christ to our local Gardena neighbors in very practical ways: cleaning the streets, caring for the natural wetlands, and painting the local city parks. There’s lots of opportunities for singles, couples, and families of all ages to help out. Comes with lunch celebration afterwards and a free T-shirt. Last day to sign up is Friday, August 31.

We are in the middle of a new teaching series called “Getting Past Your Past.” Often times, we look too quickly into what’s next and what’s new and never properly deal with and heal from our past. In this series, we’ll be taking a look at our past labels, past hurts, and past failures.
“17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

We’ll be distributing accordion-fold manuscripts this coming Sunday at church. Use the manuscript to make all sorts of marks and symbols and signs as we dissect this passage together.

For March 11, 18, and 25, we’re starting up a new teaching series focusing in our relationship with God. Typically, a teaching series will challenge us to change in some way–to be more loving, to be more humble, to be more generous….This is a unique series in that we’re not challenged to change, we’re challenged to go deeper in relationship with He who changes us. God is working, God is moving, God is speaking, it’s our job to tune our lives to the right frequency to be able to know His presence in our lives and hear what He is saying to us.
As a crucial aspect of this series, we would like everyone to take the Sacred Pathways test. It comes from Gary Thomas’ Sacred Pathways, which challenges to widen our typically narrow understanding of who God is. Join us beginning this Sunday morning in a 3-part series that will cause us to go deeper in our life with God.
We’ve just began a new adventure together as a church body called “Who’s Your King?” It’s a teaching series through the second half of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Last year, we systematically went through Jesus’ epic, life-changing sermon last year with “I Choose Weird,” and now we’re going to finish it off with the question: “Who’s Your King?” As you live your life and make character defining choices every single moment of the day, who do you give ultimate authority and allegiance and ear to? The world? Yourself? or King Jesus?
Join with us in this journey in our Sunday Morning Services and also in Community Groups. If you miss a week, you can always keep in step with us online!
